Charles Oruru, the girl’s father, said that both the mother and the baby girl were in good health conditions. Mr Oruru said that all relatives were excited about the latest addition to the family, despite the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy.
Ese’s case is currently before the Federal High Court in Yenagoa, where her alleged kidnapper, Dahiru, is facing a five-count charge of kidnapping, unlawful carnal knowledge and sexual exploitation of a minor. Dahiru has been in prison custody as he was unable to fulfil the bail conditions slammed by the court. A week ago, Justice Aliya Nganjiwa granted the request of the prosecution to take the evidence of Ese Oruru in private at the resumed pre-trial hearing in the trial of Dahiru Yunusa.
